vLex AI chatbot

A vLex AI chatbot from Bonfire lets a lawyer ask research questions from Slack or Telegram and get organized, context-aware summaries back. Reasoning happens on your own hardware, keeping legal inquiries and matter context out of the cloud.

How Bonfire works with vLex

vLex does not expose a public REST API we can drive directly. Instead Bonfire stores your vLex credentials and context locally on your machine and surfaces them to your chosen AI model, so an agent can reason over your Legal research platform data and draft, summarize, and prepare work — while your data stays on your own hardware.

vLex agents in action

Telegram: a chat command → Bonfire → vLex → run a task and replies with the result.
Slack: ask a question → Bonfire → vLex → pull a summary posted back to the channel.
Scheduled: nightly → an agent checks vLex and flags anything that needs your attention.

  • Offline Llama for local, private reasoning
  • Driven from chat you already use

  • Recurring subscription, usage caps
  • Model locked to the vendor
  • Yet another dashboard to log into
Block 4 · FAQ

vLex — questions

Can Bonfire automate vLex?

Yes. Bonfire runs on your machine, holds your vLex credentials locally, and a connected model (Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok) drives the vLex API to run the actions you ask for in chat.

Does my vLex data go to the cloud?

Bonfire runs on your desktop and keeps your keys local — it isn't a SaaS holding your data. Only the specific request you approve is sent to your chosen AI model.

Which AI models can I use?

Any connected model — Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok. A fully offline Llama model runs locally for private reasoning but can't reach live APIs.
