Surescripts AI Integration
Surescripts AI agents run on Bonfire Terminal, a local-first desktop app for healthcare workflows. Using your Surescripts context and credentials, on-device agents help interpret e-prescribing activity from Slack or Telegram, keeping sensitive prescription data private on your own machine.
How Bonfire works with Surescripts
Surescripts does not expose a public REST API we can drive directly. Instead Bonfire stores your Surescripts credentials and context locally on your machine and surfaces them to your chosen AI model, so an agent can reason over your E-Prescribing Network data and draft, summarize, and prepare work — while your data stays on your own hardware.

Surescripts — questions
How does Bonfire work with Surescripts?
Bonfire stores your Surescripts context and credentials locally and surfaces them to your chosen AI model, which reasons over your data on-device — Surescripts has no public API for Bonfire to call directly.
Does my Surescripts data go to the cloud?
Bonfire runs on your desktop and keeps your keys local — it isn't a SaaS holding your data. Only the specific request you approve is sent to your chosen AI model.
Which AI models can I use?
Any connected model — Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok. A fully offline Llama model runs locally for private reasoning but can't reach live APIs.
