Bloomberg Law AI Integration

Bloomberg Law AI agents run on Bonfire Terminal, a local-first desktop app for legal research. Using your Bloomberg Law context and credentials, on-device agents help surface case law and analysis from Slack or Telegram, keeping your privileged research private on your machine.

How Bonfire works with Bloomberg Law

Bloomberg Law does not expose a public REST API we can drive directly. Instead Bonfire stores your Bloomberg Law credentials and context locally on your machine and surfaces them to your chosen AI model, so an agent can reason over your Legal Research data and draft, summarize, and prepare work — while your data stays on your own hardware.

Bloomberg Law agents in action

Telegram: a chat command → Bonfire → Bloomberg Law → run a task and replies with the result.
Slack: ask a question → Bonfire → Bloomberg Law → pull a summary posted back to the channel.
Scheduled: nightly → an agent checks Bloomberg Law and flags anything that needs your attention.

Bloomberg Law — questions

How does Bonfire work with Bloomberg Law?

Bonfire stores your Bloomberg Law context and credentials locally and surfaces them to your chosen AI model, which reasons over your data on-device — Bloomberg Law has no public API for Bonfire to call directly.

Does my Bloomberg Law data go to the cloud?

Bonfire runs on your desktop and keeps your keys local — it isn't a SaaS holding your data. Only the specific request you approve is sent to your chosen AI model.

Which AI models can I use?

Any connected model — Claude, GPT, Gemini or Grok. A fully offline Llama model runs locally for private reasoning but can't reach live APIs.
